Jaclynn has loved animals, especially dogs, since she was a baby. She was inseparable from the family dog, Kricket, a Labrador Retriever. Matter-of-fact her first word was 'puppy'. Jaclynn's love for dogs runs deep. Her Grandfather bred German Shepherd Dogs in Cuba while her Dad bred & showed Labrador Retrievers & judged AKC field trials. Jaclynn began working in veterinary clinics when she was 15 as a veterinary assistant and kennel manager. She also has experience in obedience, agility, & flyball with Kora. To top it off Jaclynn is a seventh generation baker and a sixth generation cake decorator. |

Kora was found on the side of the road in a bag in the winter of 2003 in north Alabama. She was brought into a local shelter where she was quickly adopted. As quickly as she was adopted she was returned. This time Kora had distemper and was very ill. Dr DTM was walking through the kennels at the shelter and she came across little Kora. She could not help but to allow her heart to melt for this funny looking, small, sick baby on death row. She took her to her clinic to start treating her. She knew that her cousin was looking for a dog and she thought that Jaclynn and Kora would make a perfect fit. Kora came into Jaclynn's life at the right moment and together they developed The Catahoula Cookie Company. When Kora is not working, she is running the property or sunning. Kora is a five year old mini Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dog. |

Chica came to our family when she was 1 year old. Her owner could no longer could care for her & turned her over to Dr. DTM. Chica was happy because she had been an outdoor dog & much prefers life on the couch. When Chica is not working, she is holding the couch down or playing bubbles. Chica is a seven year old American Staffordshire Terrier. |
